Hi, I'm Alex Rivera

I started coding at 16 building terrible Flash games, graduated to terrible PHP websites, and somewhere along the way discovered I actually liked making fast, well-structured things. These days I focus on the full stack — mostly TypeScript on both ends, with a heavy lean toward developer experience and product quality.

When I'm not coding I'm usually shooting film photography, hiking in the mountains outside Denver, or trying to convince my cat that standing on my keyboard is not helpful.

I've worked at startups, mid-sized product companies, and done independent consulting. I find the most interesting problems live at the intersection of engineering rigor and real human needs.
